Space for Love is a poetic meditation on Black love, healing, and self-discovery. Inspired by bell hooks’ all about love, this chapbook explores love beyond survival—love that blooms, nourishes, and transforms. Through intimate reflections and piercing questions, Starasia challenges conventional notions of love, unpacking its spiritual essence, communal power, and radical potential. Space for Love—First Edition was made as part of The Free Black Women’s Library Black Literary Zine Project conversing with and responding to books on their canon list, including bell hooks’ all about love
Starasia printed and handmade Space for Love—The First Edition herself in Brooklyn, NY. She designed the cover, tore the decal edges by hand, and hand-sewed the chain stitch binding using her Grandmother’s thread
