While I’m Bed-Stuy do or die, Southside Jamaica, Queens, and it’s crazy, raised me. I grew up on the same block as 50 Cent and Nicki Minaj, and Queens is where I ignited my passion for words and threads.
The first piece I made that stands the test of time. An upcycled, Elmo-red fur bikini inspired by Malibu Mitch, Lil Kim, Beyoncé, and Nicki Minaj. Styling and Creative Direction by me. Shot in Brooklyn, NY.

I used the same elmo-red fur to make a bucket hat and deconstructed a polo pullover hoodie into a puffer vest
I took apart an oversized polo pullover hoodie I had received from a former boyfriend to learn about garment construction, then reassembled it in a way that resonated with me. Having spent my childhood making clothes for my teddy bears and styling wooden, magnetic dolls, I finally decided to make something for myself. I styled the bucket hat and vest with a pair of vintage jeans my mother gave me, the 40th Anniversary Nike Air Max 90 Infrared Velvet sneakers, a Pretty Little Thing balloon-sleeve button-up shirt, and a mint green Telfar. The vest reminds me of the Michelin Man mascot — evolving, yet tirelessly, pun intended, remaining authentic. Weaving stories of the past while forging a new future is a core component of Made with Sunshine and curating Space for Love. Photographed in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY.
